How to place an order

Trade and business customers: build a list on the quote list or send the lines, sizes and quantities through the trade enquiry form. We confirm stock, price and delivery day, then you pay or it goes on your account.
Everyone else: email contact@hardhardware.com.au with what you need. We quote by return, and you pay before dispatch.
An order is accepted when we issue an order confirmation or dispatch the goods, whichever comes first. Your purchase order terms do not override ours unless we agree in writing.

Pack and carton quantities

Every line is sold in the pack quantity printed in the current catalogue edition, and by the carton for bulk. We do not break packs. The sizes and pieces per pack for each line are on the screws and hinges and fittings pages.

Minimum order

Trade accounts: minimum order $100 ex GST. Orders below that attract a $15 handling fee. See the trade account terms.
Customers without an account: no minimum, but goods are still supplied in pack quantities, and freight is free only above the thresholds on the delivery page.

Changing or cancelling an order

The rule depends on how you are paying.

A return after dispatch follows the returns rule: 14 days, unused and unopened, 20% restocking fee, return freight at your cost. Changes to quantities or sizes before dispatch are free; email us with the order number.

Special orders and indent goods

Sizes, finishes or lines not held in Brisbane are made or imported for you.
They need a 50% deposit, which is not refundable, with the balance payable before dispatch.
Once we have confirmed the order with our supplier it cannot be cancelled.
Lead time is 8 to 12 weeks, confirmed per order.

Back orders

If part of an order is short, we may part-ship and back-order the rest. Each shipment is invoiced separately and no penalty applies to the balance.
